The App allows you to enter three times and if you entered all incorrectly, it will lock the app for one minute. After a minute you can try one time again. If you still cannot get it right, the one-minute interval will repeat itself again.

What can you do if you really forgotten the password?

If for some reasons, there’s no way you can remember the password and you want to reuse the app. You can choose to erase everything inside the App and start out the App like a new App. This step will be irreversible and you need to be very careful and make the right decision

How to retrieve previously entered password?

If you have entered a new password on top of an old password, every time you go into the edit field, there will be a downward arrow next to your password. You just have to tab the download arrow and you will be able to see your previously entered password and date.

Why do we need to have the last password recorded?

Sometimes, when you try to change password on the Internet. There will be steps before the site will accept your new password. If you entered those steps wrongly, that means your password is not changed, but on your PIN Locker, you might have already changed to the new password and forgotten what the old password is. This will create a problem for you. Therefore we specially design to record the last password entered so that in these cases, you can still retrieve the old password and can get into the site.

How to customize labels?

To customize labels, you go to settings and under settings, there are a list of labels and values you can customize, e.g. password labels, login labels, categories values.

Why do we need to have customized labels?

On different websites, they use different labels for their purposes, for example banks – account number, website – logins. With customized labels, we can customize the look of the PIN Locker to match to your site’s labels exactly.

How to backup your PIN Locker’s data?

Backing up is quite simple, you need to go to PIN Locker’s settings, then you choose Backup. The backup process will ask you to provide an email address, which PIN Locker will send the encrypted backup file to your email address. This encrypted file must be on a Computer and not on an iPad or iPhone. Then keep this file in a safe place.

How to retrieve from your PIN Locker backup?

Restoring requires that your backup file be on a computer. And your computer and your iPhone/iPad has to be on the same WiFi network. You need to open PIN Locker, go to settings, and tab Restore. Enter your password for your backup file (usually your PIN Locker’s Master Password), then on your computer, open a web browser and enter the IP address specified by PIN Locker. On the browser, select the appropriate buttons to restore your backup data.
